Our Unit! FOODS & DRINKS + Lesson Plan

FOOD & DRINKS

Primero introdujimos CHUNKS OF LANGUAGE.

‘I usually have ________ for snack’

Project!! Explanation

The idea we had was to make our students feel that the project night become somthing really useful for them. We did not wanted them just to make whatever that had to, and then just throw it away, without understanding it's significance. Eating Healthy is something that kids have problems with. We wanted them to realize through a nice and interesting activity what does it mean to eat healthy.

Our Project was very simple. The only thing we wanted was to make them create or invent a phrase or a saying related to Eating Healthy. The main focus is that this activity had to be meaningful. They had to bring their own material to create the "adds" on paper sheets. Material like crayons colour pencils, scisors and magazines to cout out whatever remembered them of healthy food.

This is how they came up with beautiful ideas like "Eat Fresh, Eat and Apple a Day", among some others.

Here we include a video of one of the interviews we carried on the students once we finished the project. The result is simply beautiful... 0 comentarios

Results of the PROJECT and MAIN Conclusions

After finishing the project students were really happy with the results. Some words od them were "I feel I learnt English". We think that our project really touched them, eventhough it was absolutely simple.

All of the students worked at the same time. All of them brought the materials, and the enviroment in the classroom was just great.

They put all of them so the project could work.

They were able to create 5 different ADDS with different slogans of their own invention.

It was visible that they were really proud of themselves.

What me and my coleague can take as a conclusion is that we don't have to get really complicated to get to our students heart. Even if we have a lot of papers for them to work, that doesn't mean they are going to pay atention, or that they are going to learn.

We understood that it is mostly up to us to gain their trust. If we do our job well and with love we can even change our students lives. This is a fact, and we are really happy with the results.

Main Conclusions about "The VISE III Experience" REFLEXIONS

Self evaluation: Reflection on marks and tests results

Valeria Romero

I feel that I have done a good job during this entire semester. I really put a great effort to do things right and I feel that I have been compensated by having such an increidible internship this year. I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to our professional internship next year.

I can not make a reflexion on my marks or test results because I have neither of tem, but y reckon I did well.
